On February 24th our school received a very important visitor, Mr. Norng Soyeth, Director of Marketing of the Port Authority of Sihanoukville and the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) under development near the new airport. Mr. Soyeth conferred with our rector, father John Visser, and visited the various sections of our Technical School. The SEZ is an industrial area currently under development, and , once completed, will draw thousands of workers from all the province, hence the visit of Mr. Soyeth is pretty important as many of our students will likeky find a job overthere after their studies.

The Don Bosco Children Fund (known also as DBCF), is a special project of the Don Bosco Foundation of Cambodia which was opened in 1992 to outreach and care to children from disadvantage communities and orphans. It grants scholarship to poor children and is supported by international sponsors.

The project has its main quarters in Phnom Penh and offices in Poipet, Battambang and Sihanoukville. As 2008, the DBCF has cared for more than 50 thousand children throughout Cambodia.
