The Don Bosco Technical School of Sihanoukville features an educational approach which specializes in helping Cambodia\'s youth to find work and live with dignity in their society, to lift them out of poverty with its accompanying threats and guide them to a worthwhile and fulfilled existence.
Our enterprise responds to the needs of disadvantaged Cambodian youth by offering them a high quality, free professional education through the Salesian Preventive System, which prepares them for work and for life, with benefit to Cambodia and potentially to other societies. Our candidates are eminently employable in a globalized world. These young men and women are educated to a spirit of service carried out happily and professionally. They learn to appreciate their own personal gifts and share them with others.
Don Bosco Technical School, therefore, sees its mission as a direct response to poverty through holistic professional education which transforms its students, reaches out to their families, helping also to improve the social climate. It does this by appealing to the inner gifts of the young, and by emphasizing, spiritual and human values of generosity, joy, responsible service, belief in self and faith in the God they worship.
The school is word of the Don Bosco Foundation of Cambodia. Attention: This is a humanitarian work to help vulnerable and
poor young people only. This is not a religious, political or ideological oriented school.
The educational communities of Don Bosco in Cambodia join together to celebrate the 78th birthday of Reverend Father John Visser, Salesian of Don Bosco. May God give him good health and success in his mission for the education of youth from poverty in Cambodia and Thailand. Thanks Father John for the gift of your life.
