Khmer Language Courses for Foreigners

Presentation

The Social Communication section, opened in 2007 in the Don Bosco Technical School, is a program for young people from poor and disadvantage communities. Similarly to the other technical sections of the school, the task is to teach young people useful skills for their future and the development of the Country. The students spend two years in the school to be taught English, journalism, IT, Web-developing, promotion of the Khmer language on the Internet, multimedia production and broadcasting .

As a way to improve the capacities of our students to open a dialogue within the international community, we encourage foreign residents to learn the Khmer language inside our educative community. In this way, the section becomes a dynamic space where our students and local teachers get in contact with other cultures. The program gives also an opportunity of alternative funding for the Don Bosco organization which offers free education for children and young people from disadvantaged families or communities at risk.
