On February 24th our school received a very important visitor, Mr. Norng Soyeth, Director of Marketing of the Port Authority of Sihanoukville and the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) under development near the new airport. Mr. Soyeth conferred with our rector, father John Visser, and visited the various sections of our Technical School. The SEZ is an industrial area currently under development, and , once completed, will draw thousands of workers from all the province, hence the visit of Mr. Soyeth is pretty important as many of our students will likeky find a job overthere after their studies.

The Social Communication Department building

 

Social Communication Section has been created to grant access to a developing professional market to our students.
In Cambodia, things are changing rapidly, infrastructures are improving in telecommunications and the Web is expanding its number of users in the Kingdom.This means that an increasing number of new professional figures are going to be needed: Web-developers, Audio-Video technicians, editors and reporters.


The Social Communication courses

As you can see from the diagram above, our courses are well-articulated and cover a wide range of matters.



We, at Don Bosco, believe in freedom of expression, and in the power of human creativity.
At our Social Communication Section, we actually enroll 24 students per year, and the duration of the courses is of two years.
The future Web-developers and media people of the Kingdom !
